Legislated Term Limits - Bad Idea

Self imposed or voter determined term limits are best for our nation.  This was the original intent of our Founding Fathers, allowing for the people to have the last say.

However, legislated term limits puts the unelected hired staffers in charge.  That is like allowing un-elected judges to make policy.  Legislated term limits give the unelected staffers more power and influence over the laws with limited checks or balance.
The attached article from Politico illustrates how working for The United States House of Representatives is a pretty sweet deal. You don't have to run for office, you don't have to work all year, you get to go home early most Fridays, get to know wealthy, powerful people, eat good food, attend ritzy events, you influence a man or woman who makes our nation's laws because you have their ear, oh,.....and you can make $172,500/year.

Legislated term limits remove the final checks and balance established by the constitution...you the people.

Our Children As Mules

Using school children as mules to advance their agenda is a common practice among those who want to take over your care from cradle to grave.  Whether it is to bring home politically slanted flyers or to take advantage of the recently proposeded Obama budget contains an education dollar component.
To the tune of $100 Billion to recruit an amry of high-school students to “help us bring about our agenda.”  Obama’s “agenda” to enslave the people by using the government to take over your wallets and remove your freedoms through European-style Socialism.
The internet outreach from his campaign, Obama for America has been morphed into Organizing for America.  These high school recruits will be provided with “insight on the strategy and plan behind the health care campaign.”  This is how we cut spending?  Read more.

Runaway Spending is Killing our Business Advantage

Concord has an addiction to spending.  They can never get enough of your dollars and they will consume everything they can get and then want more.  Over the past six years the number of government jobs has grown at a rate that was twice the rate of our population growth.  You and I know that this is not job creation but rather Concord adding to runaway spending.  Government does not create jobs.  Businesses create jobs.

Over regulating and imposing an income tax is not the way to improve the business climate in NH.  We need a Governor who will say NO to spending.

Where is the money going?

Those public officials operating in the State House in Concord are in a love with spending.  But what are they buying?

Over the past six years the number of state government jobs has doubled the growth in population.  But the more astonishing fact is that in 2007, there was a 13 fold growth of jobs compared to the growth in population.  Is it any wonder that in 2008 1nd 2009, it was “necessary” to create or expand sources of revenue to pay for the payroll that was created?

That payroll and the associated benefits that the state is paying comes from the backs of the people of NH.  It doesn’t matter whether there is available revenue labeled as a federal grant, federal stimulus or some genie in the sky. In truth, it ALL comes from the pockets of you taxpayers.  How much do you have to spare?

Better start your second and third jobs so you can pay for those car registration taxes.
